The I Ching Book of Changes is a 3,000-year-old text from China. Yarrow stalks were once used to cast a divination, but now people use coins. Tossing three coins determines whether a line is a line of yin or a line of yang. When six lines have been drawn, they form a hexagram, and this gives the seeker a statement in answer to their question.
The lines are often changing lines, meaning that the line changes from yin to yang or vice versa. This changes the hexagram into a new hexagram, and the changing lines themselves have their own meanings.
I Ching Dice Online uses virtual octohedral dice instead of coins. The statements in the hexagrams are a new impression of the ancient text, updated for modern sensibilities.
